I’m NEVER without one of my project bags! I have like 5-6 I switch between, depending on how I’m feeling that day. That, and which doctor I’m off to see. Some are ALWAYS running late, so I can bring a more involved project and know I’ll get a lot done! Others are quick in and out appointments so I tend to bring my shorter, quicker projects.
I’m currently working on a monster my son drew several years ago and I’m bringing him to life! He got to choose the colors, and being a 34 year old gay graphic designer man, well COLOR is his life! He finally decided that to match the neon orange monster, he needed glow in the dark teeth, claws, horns and spikes at the end of the tail. The first spinal spade is to be a shark fin so it doesn’t have a frontal view. The rest are more ankylosaurus-like. He was really quite creative. I hoe I do it justice!
I’m also giving him and one of his pals beginner sewing lessons! Their group is going to some concert and they’re making outrageous costumes!!

I crochet in public all the time. Sporting events, waiting rooms, sitting in my car waiting for the next meeting, riding in the car as a passenger, and anywhere else I think there might be down time.
I find that most people want to know what I am making and many of them says they wish they knew how to crochet.
There was one family I saw at several track meets in a row that looked for me in the stands to see my progress on a zebra I was making. It was fun.
