So lets help each other out; What is one piece of crafting advice you would give your past self? :sparkles:

There are always new things to learn and I hope this makes my crafting even better after reading all your comments!

I will gift a gem to a random commentor on Monday! :gem_stone:

stay calm(was getting really upset trying to learn from yt), be patient (couldn’t get the stitches right and was again struggling bc of yt), get a woobles kit (taught me how to do stitches correctly and how to do amigurumi), and get ribblr ASAP

Hi

To get started, buy yarn suitable for crochet and stitch markers, and above all, don’t take on too big a project right away.

something i still really struggle with is super tight tension! i’ve become a lot more conscious of it now and try to crochet normally, but i wish i could tell my past self that my tension would heavily affect how my finished objects would look, particularly my amigurumi!

Do not let other people pressure you into crocheting stuff for them. Stand ur ground, ask them to pay.

Yes i do too! I make stuff for my friends all the time! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
The people that were asking me though, weren’t really my friends and they were like pressuring me in making them really big project for no reason!

If you are looking to make smaller plushies, look for the plushies that have less rounds, that way you are not spending 5 days making a plushie
