What is thaaaaat

This thing is on my wrist and drives me crazy (it rarely hurts but I have mild OCD and I desperately want to claw it out from underneath my skin). Do yall know what it is??? It’s only on my right inner wrist, so I assume it’s a crochet issue :sob: any tips, tricks, advice? Thank you!!

Pictures (the skin is fine so I don’t think it’s gross at all but I know some people can be pretty squeamish)

Looks like it could be a cyst. I would check with your doctor. I had one on the outside of my wrist once.

My baby sister has something identical to this. Hers is a calcified fat deposit and absolutely harmless. You can get it removed if you want it gone, but because it’s a cosmetic surgery, it’s not likely to be covered by insurance

I’d still talk to a dermatologist about it, but it really looks like the same thing my baby sister has had since she was like 12

If you can shine a light through it, it’s a ganglion cyst. Sometimes knitting and crochet can cause it to grow in size.
As long as you’re not having any loss of sensation in any part of your hand/wrist, or having any pain, it’s harmless.
I have one on my left forearm.
Best not to try to pop it yourself or hit it with a heavy book.
They used to be called Bible cysts cuz you could pop them with the Family’s Bible which was typically large and heavy.

Agree with the ganglion cyst. My daughter had one removed and it came back. I have one also. Forgot about it until you mentioned it. But, yeah, don’t try to get rid of it yourself. Not sure how to tell you to get used to it. Draw a design on it. Name it. Don’t worry though. A doctor could verify.

I can shine a light through it and it looks about the same as shining a light through my finger tip. I’ll go to the doctor once I get insurance. I definitely won’t be dropping heavy things on my wrist anytime soon  thank you!!

I’ve had hives before and this isn’t that, but I’m wishing you the best!! I ended up having to go to the ER and get steroid shots, so definitely keep a close eye on it

Haha that’s a great idea! My roommate is an art major, I’ll ask her to make him into something cute

Thank you!! I will get to a doctor as soon as I can, but I really wanted to make this post to make sure it wasn’t a “omg get to the ER immediately” thing lol

Omygoodness, that’s awful! I broke out in hives once, all over my body and I just wanted to jump out of my skin!

Ikr so itchy

My sister in law got this recently. She was so afraid she waited a full day on a dispensary. Actually it was a kind of tendinitis (she works as a disabled kid school assistant and she sometimes have to hold kids and write for them) also my hands looks like this when i crochet too much and ignore the pain (that one who say “you should stop here babe”

I got a cyst on my lower back. And all i could say it’s it was itching me like a huge pimple. If it’s not hurtful or itching you it’s not a cyst. Put a strap band on it and around your thumb and leave it rest for one day or two.

I hope it could help
