What is Your Crafting Red Flag? (3 Winners!) [Winners Announced]

My crafting red flag is probably wanting to make a big project and underestimating the amount of yarn I need. For example I’m currently making a giant bee and I need more yarn for the wings and it has remained unfinished for almost a month. Therefore, I currently have a wingless bee.

I never weave in ends for amigurumi, I just stuff it inside and it’s usually fine lol

I try to watch yt while making things, then get distracted and either forget to crochet or lose my stitch count

I think I’m the queen of saving patterns I’ll never make! :ok_hand:t2::joy: I have over 100 screenshots of projects I haven’t touched, and I’ve realized I take the same screenshots of the same patterns every single year. Also, any project that is just ‘single crochet only’ is a huge red flag for me… I’m terrified of them! :smiling_face_with_tear:

Too scared woven ends won’t hold so I knot :face_with_peeking_eye: A carry over from my sewing practice!

‘my chain never gets twisted’ as it proceeds to twist lol. I actually don’t like acrylic much cause it makes my hands dry and kinda icks me out when people use it for clothing, probably a sensory thing. And I tell myself I can crochet anything (maybe, maybe not, I need to test this theory) even if I’m an advanced intermediate or a potential advanced.

I do spite crafting…

allow me to explain.

If a friend or family(AFTER I HAVE ASKED FOR THEIR OPIONION!) says ‘oh, i dont like it, maybe you should restar?” I finish it just out of spite.

or if i complain its too hard and someone tells me to stop, I finish it out of spite…

WE LISTEN AND WE DONT JUDGE!

I think mine would either have to be purchasing too much yarn with project ideas in my head, or thinking I can still crochet while chasing around a toddler! :joy:

mine’s when someone asks me to teach them crochet and i’m like yeeeeeah no. Bc being the learner is soo much easier than being the teacher
