The longer scraps, I’m working into a moss stitch blanket (crochet), joining them as I go with a Russian join.

Thank you! I was getting ready to share the same… I see this “advice/suggestion” every year (usually in the winter and spring) and have to warn people that it is advised to NOT do this… Birds have been making nests for centuries without people leaving hair and yarn scraps out for them… It sounds nice and/or fun, but definitely not safe…
