I’m in the uk and just had a new bathroom fitted.
There’s an area that won’t fit a standard bath mat but I would like one there. So going to crochet one.
Just wondering what would be the best yarn for this.
Any help appreciated thanks
I would suggest cotton yarn
I love cotton, and it would probably be the best choice. But that said, I make water balloons out of Bernat Blanket Yarn and know how much water they absorb. So, I made one out of that. Either way, drying in between uses would be recommended. I throw mine over the tub edge.
I made one for my kids years ago, I used strips of cotton cloth and a giant hook to make a rag rug look, That thing lasted for YEARS and the frayed edges just added to the look.
I use t shirt yarn for rugs and mats, durable and easy to wash.
I think making a rug out of scraps of fabric would work too!

Thankyou everyone and I am so sorry for the late reply it was just my look that I posted then my son started with a sickness bug and he has limited understanding so I have had my hands full.
Right think I’ll give cotton ago first as I have plenty in my stash
