I’ve been interested in using skinny chenille yarn for the first time. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to get it or what brand works well and where you got it ( like the website of the brand or store).

I use Petite Purl or Skinny Chenille by Michael’s Loops and Threads. These are size 4- one of my favorites to use

If you are looking for cheap, just chenille at dollar tree. Unfortunately it sheds though.

I tried that yarn from dollar tree and it didnt end well with all the shedding of the yarn when sewing

The yarn i used for your dragon was a chenille velvet from Amazon - comes in size 4 and 5. Very silky and nice to use, very little fuzzyness or shedding.

Look into Alison & Mae, it’s cheap but options are limited. I was gifted a set of 18 colours and the yarn is holding up better than DMC Happy Chenille in terms of shedding.
Otherwise, I really love Nilli Nilli yarn by Ricorumi. Most shades are soft and muted, but there are a few neon options. Great quality! No shedding issue at all.
I also tried Katia Velvet Fine. Limited colour options but good to work with.

The dollar store!! They have really good soft chenyle yarn, though it is hard to make a magic ring out of.
