Wont let me take pictures

When i am creating a pattern and want to take a photo for one of the round like for example,

“Sc 6 in mr” then I press it and tap “Media” then I press the camera button and take a photo of my project then press “Ok” but then it just takes me to the ribblr loading screen and then it either takes me out of my pattern or back into my pattern without the photo I took in my pattern. I tried restarting my phone and restarting the app but nothing is working. I know I have the option to upload photos and that works but then it takes so so long.

Perhaps try taking the photo normally (not within the app), then going back into the app and try adding the photo from your photo library. See if that helps.

This happens to me a lot when trying to upload photos as well (uploading photos from files, not camera).. I usually have to try closing and re-opening the app multiple times before it works, it would be nice if ribblr could figure out how to fix it.

Could there be other open apps that are slowing down the uploading?

Does your phone need a software update?

Has this happened to you previously?

This happens ever since i got ribblr and my phone recently just got a full system update and so I dont need a software update and my phone is alos very new, only had it for like 3 months, maybe less and I always ony have 1 app open because I hate having all my apps cluttered. So I’m not sure why this is happening but when I take a separate photo then it takes literally so long then ribblr takes a while to load then I have to go to my shop and go to my pattern then switch the mode then finally upload the photo and sometimes it glitches and won’t even let me upload it

I wonder if it could be the size of the image, if you know what I mean? Are you able to try reducing the size in terms of megabytes, kilobytes etc?

There is no option to do that except to make it 50 something and 12 something and that’s it but I changed it and it still won’t work

So I don’t know what type of phone you have, so the following may not be the same for you.

Check your phone’s settings as follows (if you use an iPhone).

Go to settings, camera, formats, camera capture, high efficiency.

I screen recorded it and tried to email you the video but it says not able to do that or something like that I think its only pictures
