Working in patterns

So I dicided to work in a pokemon pattern, but since there is a lot on the market, I’m not sure people would like it. My idea was to make a snuggle, but I don’t like the flattened ones i saw. So this ended up beeing like a quadruped plushie. I wanted to post it before I decided to keep working on it to share it, because my last one didn’t ended up liking once it was released to the public . That way i can see if there is any interest or just loosing time.

I love it!!! I would definitely be interested in this if there was a pattern!

Love it!!!

It’s cute! Just remember that you will need to get the legal rights from the copyright holder in order to sell. It is also against Ribblr’s TOS to sell copyrighted items that you do not have the rights to.

U mean I can’t use the words of the game and the company if I don’t have the rights?

That’s usually how it goes! thats why you’ll see a lot of pikachu items labled ā€œelectric mouseā€ when they’re for sale! btw super cute pattern i would make like a dozen of them

I love this so much!!!

You cannot use the likeness or the name and profit from it without getting the rights from the owner. Changing the name does not make it legal.

Soo, I shouldn’t post a pattern here.

You can! You just should not have it be a paid pattern if you want to stay safe.

Lots of people still sell patterns with the likeness of copy righted characters but it’s really a hit or miss because you’ll see some never get reported and then there’s the few that end up having their shop completely shut down cuz of it.

In the end it’s what you decide.

It’s a shame tho since it looks so cute >^<

You cannot make it a paid pattern anywhere as it breaks copyright law. You are at risk of being sued by the owner. It is against Ribblr’s TOS because it is illegal.
