Hello, welcome to the first writing event of the Creative Writing space! Here’s how these events will work:
This will act more as a way of showing off your work, rather than a competition.
Two winners will be picked. A voting poll will be held to pick one winner, and the other will be a judge’s choice award.
The winners of the event will be able to pick ideas for future event. They will also be added to the judges panel for the next competition.
You will be given 1-2 weeks depending on the prompt to write your piece.
You will submit your work by dm’ing it to me, @4dium
After the deadline passes, all stories will be posted anonymously and voting will occur.
The winners will be announced and the next event will begin soon after.

The first prompt is a short story inspired by your favorite song. It can be as short as you want, but it cannot be longer that 1,000 words. You have until Monday of next week (3/11) to submit it. If you need longer, please tell us sooner than later. Remember, you submit it by dm’ing it to me. This is so no one accidentally copies your work! Good luck!!

Going to start now! However, I have a question. My favorite song is a video game song with no lyrics. Should I write a short story based on the moment in game when it plays? Or should I try to write a short story based on the mood? Thanks!
