I have a question when it comes to creating something and substituting 1 weight for 10 lace? I have used neither before. My usual working weight is 4/worsted and hook is 5/5.5 mm.
Would only the size be different?

Typically it will only change the size of the piece! But in the past there was I pattern I used that affected the pieces I had to attach because it needed a size 6 for the body and worsted weight for the pieces that went on the head! So just be careful with that!
