Hi I’m a bow bow to stitch owner i have an idea to make ribblr better and more easy to use my idea is to add a section called( patterns) in this section you could see the pattern information and if you completed it and if you are stopped on the 2 or 7 round and if how many pieces have you complete of it also you could add another thing in the wheel the thing is that you get a chance to get any pattern of your whish list for free or if it is not allowed to get it for free let it rent like rent it for 1 or 3 days !! and add something in the search that you could take a photo of the yarn and all the project that used the same yarn appear love you ribblr community :> HOW WANT RIBBLR TO DO THIS !!!
May I make this a bit easier to understand?
Hi I’m a bow bow to stitch owner. I have an idea, to make ribblr better and more easy to use.
My idea is to add a section called (patterns). In this section you could see the pattern information, if you completed it, and if you stopped on a round in the pattern, how many pieces have you complete of it…
Also you could add another thing in the wheel. I suggest that you get a chance to get any pattern from your whishlist for free, or if it is paid let it rent for 1 or 3 days !!
And add something in the search, that you could take a photo, enter the label, etc. of the yarn, and all the patterns that used the same yarn would appear.

This would be just an option to overview all your patterns. Ribbblr has a function to remind you to make journals, or continue with work, but not really an overview for all your patterns.
The completed patterns, you can track by regularly making journals for the patterns you’ve completed.
How many pieces of some part in the pattern are a bit harder to determine with the current interface, most of that info is usually written down in an info line of the pattern, so ribbblr would have to use an ai-based model to search for that info. they could implement this into ribbuild but regarding recent issues I’d say they have their hands busy with keeping up with glitches and bugs…
Now the point of the wheel is to be a surprise. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to get a crochet pattern I can make instead of a knit sweater, but tough luck ig…
This wouldn’t work for paid patterns, if you just rented it for a day, that gives you enough time to either copy the entire thing on a sheet of paper or to finish the pattern entirely, and that kind of beats the point of paid patterns…
Imagine you’re a designer and someone just borrows the pattern, makes it, and you get nothing instead of the money you’d get by the person buying the pattern.
That could have a problem with determining the yarn that was used in a project. Designers usually specify, but each in their own way, some day exactly, I say just “cotton”, and you can make any pattern with any yarn regardless…
thx for making it easier and more helpful
And the fact that we don’t really wanna use ai here.
There’s a line, we dislike ai for patterns and creativity, where this is a mere functionality, and more like an algorithm, not some advanced ai.
You’re right. It would be a bit difficult to implement I imagine.
I love this idea
not AI like ribblr puts multiple images of yarn with different color’s you chouses what color do you want and it will give y all the pattern that is in that color that what i mean but Maby he miss understand it
thx and hope ribblr do it
That would need an image recognition algorithm, different lighting, different angles, blurry pics… Better to just build a database of yarn that designers could choose from…
Uhhhhh that’s a completely different thing about yarn ![]()
