6 day star blanket questions

~So I’m thinking of starting one of those viral 6 day star blankets. Ive never made a blanket or crocheted anything in a star shape.~

🩷 I do have a bunch of crochet experience as well but are they hard to make?

🩷 What kind of stitches are used?

🩷 How much yarn would I need for an adult blanket?

🩷 Where can i find a good free written pattern as well as a you tube video?

🩷 Also any good color suggestions?

I haven’t made a star blanket yet and I’m not entirely sure if a 6 day star blanket is the same as the other star blankets I’ve seen but I would assume the difficulty level and stitches depend on the pattern you follow

Since you mentioned you have crochet experience you should be good, you just need to make sure to follow the pattern like usual and it should form the shape well.

The yarn needed also depends on what yarn you would use. Personally as someone who’s used both weight 4 and weight 6 I think using a thicker weight yarn would be good. It’s faster to work up and the piece will come out bigger and more adult size

I found this free pattern here on Ribblr but I’m sure there’s more on other places as well if you decide to follow a different pattern

As for color combo’s I think finding the yarn you want first and then looking to see what colors they have to decide which colors you like would be good, but honestly any color combo would look good, especially in a star shape :star: Good luck!

I made one recently! It’s simpler than it looks! I used a pattern by Betty Mcknit and it was good! It uses mostly double crochets

I’ve seen ads on Facebook for these

EDITED TO ADD found their website. As Ribblr prefers no outside links it is easy to find by a simple Google search

They provide a free pattern but also let you buy a PDF for $6.

And yes, she is on YouTube
