What a great idea , reading those. I’m deep in a biography on Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Fascinating. A German theologian.
I don’t really identify with a “religion” as I’m a self described Jesus Freak. I’ve attended non denominational, Baptist, United Pentecostal, Assemblies of God, and Church of God( Indiana).

i’m free presbyterian! and we do use the smaller and larger catechisms a lot for Sunday school and chuch services :))

I was raised Catholic until 14 or so. My Jerry and I went to a non-denominational Church for 20 years and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Now we go to a Wesleyan Church that is just a few blocks from us. I like to say I’m not religious. We just call ourselves Jesus followers.

Our pastor of 20 years did a lot on Bonhoeffer. He wrote the book Second Tolstoy: The Sermon on the Mount as Theo-tactics, and Tolstoy’s Novel Idea.

I’m kind of a mix of Messianic Jewish/Christian.
We believe in Jesus and God but we dont do the non Biblical traditions of Messianic Jewishness but we do follow the Torah and keep the biblical feasts, eat clean, etc.
(We as in me and my family)

I was raised Lutheran and went through Catechism in 7th grade, a long, long time ago. I remember some of it, I mostly remember the stories of Martin Luther and the nailing of the thesis on the door of the church and so on. Went through the whole white dress confirmation and everything, lol​
Now I am also Messianic/Torah Observant, observe the biblical feasts, don’t eat pork, shellfish …

I am non-denominational but our beliefs are kinda similar to some of a regular baptists’ beliefs
