A lil poem

In the quietest hours of the night,
My spectral figure drifts in sight,
A simple ghost, lost and alone,
Searching for love in this vast unknown.

Caught in between the realms of life and death,
Empty lungs desperate to draw in breath,
Searching for something to make me feel,
Something to convince me that this is real.

I wander through ancient hallways and dusty rooms,
Seeking out answers in archaic tombs
But the walls are silent, the shadows cold,
My ghostly heart begins to fold.

I seek a light within the dark,
A living soul who ignites a spark,
Someone to meet across the divide,
And in that moment, a love was defined.

A living soul, with eyes so warm,
Sees the heart, barely beating, all weathered and worn,
He made me dance in the moonlight, hand in hand,
Bound by a connection only we understand.

I found love, solace and peace,
My wandering heart finally at ease,
Here in the arms of my vibrant love,
I found a home where my soul rises above.

Our joined hearts a beacon against the night,
A guiding star shining brilliant and bright.
So let us be a lesson to one and all,
That love knows no boundaries, no borders or walls.

Darkness is frightening and aching and cold.
It digs in its claws until depression takes hold.
But love is a light that takes on many forms,
A bond that can weather all of life’s storms.
