Can you share a picture? I’m just learning tunisian myself.

But if I did learn it and you still needed help, I’ll be happy to help you :+1:

I agree that posting a picture would be helpful so someone experienced with Tunisian crochet can hopefully see what exactly is going on

I’ve done Tunisian a few times and now that I see your picture it looks completely normal to me

as for the curling at the bottom that is completely normal as well. You can start the first row with a slightly larger size hook to do the first couple of rows then switch back to the correct size for the rest of the pattern

Yipee! i finally figured out my tension! dance with me! ive been trying off and on for a year and just tonight it clicked by telling myself “ Pretend youre barely holding in to the yarn” as my tension was way too tight.

I don’t think it’s right because there are no vs so…. Yeah…..

No, no it should look like this? If you meant v-s should show up where the lines are then you were using the wrong stitch. tss should look like this in the picture, where as Tunisian knit stitches give the knit appearance, you can find video tutorials online.

You’re supposed to go in at the front, and grab the back post, pull a loop through and then continue… I don’t really know how to explain better :smiling_face_with_tear:

Hi! If you’re trying to crochet the tunisian knit stitch, you need to insert your hook between the two vertical bars through to the back instead of only under the front vertical bar. This video might help:

Looks like you are doing Tunisian simple stitch. (or flat - cannot quite see on the image). They are lovely stitches, btw, you can use them. If you want a knit like stitch that forms vs, you need to put the hook through the loop of the previous row, catch the yarn at the back of your project and pull it through to the front. I am only allowed to attach one picture (Ribblr???) , but if it is not clear, get in touch, we can do a video call and I will show you
