I find that hobby lobby is always good, they have 30% off yarn every other week. And a big skein of acrylic yarn is only 5$.

There’s also off brand from Amazon that’s super cheap. I got 40 skeins of chenille for $50 with a lot of yards in each

I love Premier yarn. If you’re looking for the cheapest stuff you can always go with Premier “Just Yarn” yarn. You can order online OR go check it out at Dollar General.
It’s 6.99 for 875 yards. That’s less than 10 cents a yard.

Many (not all) locations of the Dollar Tree now carry yarn. It’s worth going to a couple in your area to check.
They are 50g skeins and come in many varieties like DK acrylic, “fur”, chenille/velvet (they’re both labeled the same so you have to look at the yarn itself), wool, etc.
The only down side is that it’s not guaranteed to always have a color you’ve purchased before, so if you’re going to start a project and get yarn from there, I highly recommend getting more than enough for your project while you’re there, and checking multiple locations. It can also be kind of messy because people are inconsiderate and just dig through the bins with no regard for what’s in them or future customers (much less employees), but definitely worth it.
I’ve made several amigurumi out of their chenille yarn for a fraction of the price in equal weight (like my fav chenille skeins from Hobbii being about $9 for a 100g skein vs $2.50 for buying 2 of the 50g skeins).

In Greece it is kind of cheap almost $3 (the cheapest I have seen is for me 2,80€)
