Ive recently been seeing ALOT of AI crochet patterns on Pinterest and other websites and this has actually gotten me pretty mad.
Its not just that these crochet patterns have been STOLEN (that’s what the AI algorithms do) Its that there are so many beginner crocheters using these patterns because they don’t know they are AI. This causes some of them to be quite mad or confused, in which they comment on the post saying things they might not mean to say.
but then I had an idea, what if instead of just getting mad we actually did something to fight the battle! what if we created a real pattern with our own twists and turns based on the AI patterns?
I do see how some people might say that we would be stealing the pattern too because of the AI algorithm but we can take our own twists and make it different from the pattern! We can also try to find the patterns that don’t look like existing pattern and use those.
it is clearly AI and I looked on Google images and couldn’t find a similar one that wasn’t AI. This is what I want to work with to turn into a real pattern.

I hope you guys will join me in this project and I truly believe that human hands can create better things than a machine because what we make is real.
I started a triceratops from a website that looked legit yesterday and realized after 8 rounds it wasn’t a legit pattern. Their FB is very obviously AI.
Is there anything to do about the website so other people don’t have the same issue I did?
