Am I the only one that gets mad over this. When someone walks over to you and says ARE YOU KNITTING like no I am crocheting not knitting, nothing against knitters you guys are amazing for knitting I can’t knit I think it is hard, and I have all ways wanted to learn. But it is just a tiny bit insulting especially if you have be crocheting for years. This only applies to some people, than when you tell them you are crocheting they keep on saying what are you knitting, is it hard to knit, and how long have been knitting for.

what I usually tell people is “the difference is I am an expert crocheter and I cannot make one stitch in knitting”

I actaully taught someone the difference and he remembered!
I said its basic hook vs needle.. if i got a hook i am crocheting if i got a needles I am knitting….

The way i explain it to people is
If i have one hook then I’m crocheting 
And if i have two then i am knitting
BTW I can’t knit
Unless you count a knitting loom

ooooh yea, same here…. i was once crocheting somewhere in public and someone passes by me and says “oh look, shes knitting!!“ and i was literally crocheting a jellyfish
