Hi everyone!!! I was wondering if anyone had some tips on starting an Etsy shop. Im thinking about starting one this summer and would love advice on pricing crochet makes and how much I should expect to spend on shipping or any other tips you think may be helpful
Also, any idea how much to charge for these? They take abt 45 minutes each and I would sell them in pairs of 2

I think you should make those have an option to be keychains and then reference your based prices on other crochet keychains. Shipping, maybe make it included in the price. Honestly I’ve been thinking about making an Etsy shop but not for finished products so I won’t have to worry about shipping.

Like this for example it sells and it’s 6 bucks but that’s for one strawberry. The shipping depends on where you live I checked.

to calculate the cost of materials: (how many ounces of yarn you used x price per ounce) + (how much stuffing you used x price per ounce) + (however much you want to charge per hour x how long it took)
Calculating Materials
to find how much yarn you used: weigh the yarn before, then weigh it after, subtract that, that’s how much you used
to find how much stuffing you used: weigh the finished plushie, then subtract the weight of how much yarn you used
Good luck on opening your shop! Those plushies are adorable by the way I will definitely have to get the pattern!
Edit: hopefully this made sense, dm if you have questions I can help you further with pricing
