Any tips for deciding how hard a pattern is ?

Hi guys :wave:

I was just curious if any one had any tips for decideing wether its a beginner, intermediate or advanced pattern

I really struggle with this so i was just curious if anyone had anything they go by

I would say it depends on how much sewing there is if there are any more difficult sts, and if sewing instructions aren’t super duper specific, leaving it up to the crocheter to kinda decide. Thats how I choose the level of mine! <3
Beginner- Very specific sewing instructions with basic sts
intermediate- a little bit more advanced sts (ex: dc, hdc, Tr), less specific instructions with sewing and more sewing involved, color changes etc.
Advanced- more difficult sts (ex: jasmine st) but pretty similar to intermediate

The blog explains more in depth about the 4 Universal Crochet Skill Levels

If the pattern fits into one of those levels then I believe that’s the level the pattern would be at, assuming skill level of a crocheter = level of the pattern (could be wrong though)

I’d say 1-2 pieces with only basic sts (ch, sc, inc, dec) would be beginner, maybe a few more pieces and introducing BLO and FLO with more techniques could be advanced beginner/intermediate
