any tips on cutting out felt shapes?

Hello! I was wondering how people get the eyes and snout so perfectly circle and professional with the felt! :frowning: can someone help out?

hi! honestly i just cut it by hand but i make sure not to use the edges of felt, which are usually looser.

Maybe trace with something like a bottle cap? I usually trace something, or use a compass. And welcome! I love it here!

Welcome! I believe having a paper hole puncher would work for smaller ones, there’s the single ones and of course the big ones with the three so the single one would probably work best lol they also come in many different shapes and sizes (both for the tool and the actual shape to cut things like hearts, stars, animals, etc)

I was about to add this also - I use a hole punch as u can get a few different shapes and they work okay. I find felt difficult too and this is the best thing I’ve found so far !!

Welcome! What i personally do is trace it into the felt and cut it.
Now, if im working with black felt (hard to see what i traced) i it get a paper with the shape you want to cut instead and then tape it into the felt. Then i just cut it
Hope this helps!

I found that using extremely sharp scissors and with a curve work the best.
Would love to get a cricut machine but that’s not going happen.
