Any tips πŸ˜…

Hey guys :waving_hand:

So recently i crocheted a flower and it was so fun I decided to make a bouquet!!! One of my favourite flowers is the sunflower so I’m working on that one first, the bit I’m struggling with is the petals. They are all connected on the main part of the flower but now i have to crochet over all 18 of them around wire :sob: if any of you guys havedone this do you have anytips ? I find in some places you can see the wire through the stiches especially on the back so if you know how to fix that please let me know :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Heres what its looking like

If your curious these are the other flowers im makeing

And the colour scheme

Thanks for any help :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

( ps, thats my mums handwriting mine is not that good )

Make sure to take into account the thickness of the wire (if its to thick it will show through the stitches, if its too thin it’ll break apart easily)

You can definitely try wrapping the wire with the yarn (taking some of the ply out to make the yarn thinner around the wire + glue)

For the ones that are already done, I usually take my embroidery needle and wrap the yarn around the wire to hide it. This does make some places thicker than others though.

Are you crocheting over the wire or just inserting it through the petal? I like to crochet over it- kinda like you would crochet over a tail you wanted to hide. I never see the wire through stitches whenever i do this. Though i guess it depends on what the pattern calls for too.
