This is my current storage and it’s not the best because I can’t easily access or see all my yarn.

maybe find a basket and put your most used colors in there so you have more room for the others in your current storage

You could put your doubles and triples or whatever in a row/ stacked and sort it by color. Example: if you have 2 skeins/cakes of orange plush, stack them on or line them up so only one is showing at the front, kind of like a vending machine

I found a solution that works for me! I glued the caps of prescription bottles to the side of my craft drawer and a couple of boards that I mounted to the wall. Now I just slip the yarn off my winder and on to the empty bottles. Instant vertical organization!
Also - the yarn labels can be rolled up inside the bottles too!

IKEA has some great see through storage units
Or even other stores (just using IKEA as an example)
