Idk about you, but I come out of the U.S., particulary the Southeast part of it, and Iâve really grown to love down-home meals, working out in the garden, and listening to Johnny Cash, Bill Monroe (Father of Bluegrass), Willie Nelson, and Ernest Tubb. I also love Dolly Parton, Marty Robbins, Merle Haggard, and Waylon Jennings
How bout yaâll? Do I have any feller hillbillies, rednecks, or southern folk?

I was born and (mostly) raised in TN! While I donât often listen to country music I do have some favorites and wonât object to listening to it. Itâs whatâs I was raised on! Iâm not as country as some but I wonât deny my roots!

Same! I used to not like country as much but I really started loving it because of my dad! Especially more of the âold countryâ.

Thanks a lot!!
Hey weâre close, Iâm from Kentucky, but pretty far from Bill Monroeâs birthplace in Rosine. That is great, and thatâs why I started embracing it. My late papaw loved Johnny Horton and Marty Robbins, and his sister (my great aunt) would sing Martyâs songs while brushing my momâs hair when she was younger. Also, the songs my dad shares with me sometimes, they all just came together for me, and I feel like i found my true self. I guess I didnât start embracing my own roots until a little while ago

Omg I would love to travel to Texas
absolutely like me; i used to hate it, but now, Iâve got good memories tied to it nowâ
oh man, if I hear Hank, Bill Monroe, or Johnny Cash, I feel like me, u know? Iâve really been liking Willie Nelson, The Hag and Waylon lately. Especially âBlue Eyes Crying In The RainââŚoh my gracious, I heard it for the first time a few weeks ago and I canât stop listening to it
i think since Iâve got blue eyes too, it kinda resonates with me on a deeper level. Plus, the âsinging near the campfireâ feeling I get from it is really relaxing.

Amen!!! I remember when I first heard âFolsom Prison Bluesâ and that was IT. I had to have more
Yep, I grew up on Bill Monroe, so I just automatically gravitated to his music after I dipped my toes into country. I raise a garden with my family, and Iâd love to have chickens and goats one day
I agree! Sheâs a wonderful person; reminds me of Ernest Tubb a lot when it comes to charity. He would take pictures and sign autographs for hours after shows! She really cares, and thatâs what makes any famous person stand out to me.

Hey, itâs good 2 meet another southerner!! I used to like older hip-hop, and i still do sometimes, but I really like jazz and soul, too. I listen to Duke Ellington a lot, as well as Smokey Robinson and Sam Cooke (older stuff of course
). But man, I still like Run DMC sometimes. Thatâs kinda what I started listening to when it comes to hip-hop

We are from the great southern state of South Dakota. hahaha
(If you donât know the US States, thatâs not really southern).
But we prefer the old country also. That is the most fun for karaoke.
