Hi. I just got back home today from a long stay in a mental hospital so yeah. Anyway 2 people have requested that I teach them how to knit so I was wondering if you guys have any tips for doing that?

Depends on what type of learner they are
i am left handed myself and had so much trouble learning. I watched videos on both and they both looked so different and it was confusing to me.
I guess its cause the fact that there are multiple different ways to hold the yarn when knitting (i dont do it the in any way its shown… lol i just picked a hold were the yarn was tensioned right and i was confortable with it)
I feel bigger yarn is a better way to start, lighter colored yarn but not black or white.
Start with a basic cast on stitch, maybe the knit cast on.
to start with maybe just make plain knit squares? till they understand the knit stitch basics, then introduce purl and increases?
