Trying googling it or looking on YouTube! It’s difficult to explain over text.

It’s not a stupid question! It took me forever to learn the magic ring! Idk if they do but if the woobles on YouTube has a video for the magic ring I would recommend!

I just make my slip knot, but don’t tighten it. Stitch a SC to close it up and begin.

Maybe I should make a video someday.

Do you mean a magic ring? I think they’re the same thing, if not I’m so sorry:sob:

The way i make a magic ring, is I chain two, then in the second chain from the hook, (aka first chain you did) I make however many single crochets I need. Say you need six single crochets in a magic ring, just put six single crochets in the second chain from the hook. Hope that makes sense:sob:

Interesting, I’ve never thought of it that way before. Magic rings and slip knots basically start the same way. I usually wrap the yarn (crossing over) around two fingers then grab the strand using my hook, but I also start my slip knots using the same technique.

That’s called the ch 2 method, not a magic ring!
