Be able to close our own tester calls

@TheKnottyAmigurumi and @TheForestFrog and anyone else who feels the same way

There’s really no need to feel bad about tagging the leaders to close a post. It doesn’t bother us in the least.

@Kittycraft - no worries, we won’t get mad reading the post.
For example, sometimes we add tags to sort the forums and make sure the thread gets seen in the right area.

That’s helpful that you add tags, sometimes I forget since it’s not super obvious. I’m glad it doesn’t make you mad!

To add clarity, we leaders do not mind being tagged! It helps us close it quicker, and yakes us less than a second to do so. Do not be afraid or feel bad for asking us, its what we are here for!

I usually just edit my title to add (CLOSED) in front of it once I have enough people. Then the post is closed without needing to tag anyone (it also lets people know they can’t apply anymore, so I don’t have to reject anyone). Tagging the leaders just makes it faster :slightly_smiling_face:

Okay, before this post I didn’t know that adding (CLOSED) to the title was actually supposed to close it, since that’s never actually worked for me. Thanks for letting me know. I just feel like we should be able to close the topic, replies and everything, that way no one can post comments. And, I get people applying even when it says closed, so they’re just not checking I guess.

You could also delete the topic which would stop people from commenting and applying, but then it’s gone. It’s probably new users that don’t realize that it’s closed. I understand your frustration, though.

True. I remember when I was a new user I did so much wrong but people were so patient, so I try to be patient with people but sometimes it’s hard because it’s so obvious to me that it’s closed!

Why wouldn’t we tag Ribblr, it’s so they can take this comment into account. Also I agree!

Please don’t! They have been tagged several times and already replied to this topic! Please edit your post!

yes, please. tagging them multiple times is referred to ‘disturbance.’ please do keep that in mind, and maybe read through the comments before you tag them.

I completely agree! Not only do I feel like we are harassing the people at ribblr as well as the leaders but I don’t see why we couldn’t be able to close our own tester calls, or even topics for that matter. I understand that ribblr still has to monitor topics and such to keep the community a friendly and overall kind place, however, I don’t see the harm in being able to close tester calls on our own…just have ribblr be able to monitor it in some way.

It also might be nice for those that have priority testing to be able to input users that are priority which would automatically get accepted. That way, they don’t have to go back through and accept everyone that is priority. Almost like a restricted tester call. If all of the people that they have that are set as priority have applied and all spots have been filled due to that reason automatically, then the topic closes. Or possibly have it to where there are a set number of days/hours/minutes/seconds that priority people can apply for before taking any and all applicants.

We have already replied - you can close your own tester calls. The only thing you need staff or leaders for is to close the topics, but you can control how many can apply and close it at any time.

Okay sorry

I’m not reading through 150 comments LOL :joy: sorry

mkay but there’s literally a few mentioned at the top:sob::pray:
if its mentioned at least once, all is fine.
i wasnt just letting you know btw. this is for everyone to know.
just making sure y’all understand

Of course it does make sense. I just read the post as don’t tag Ribblr at all and it made no sense. Don’t we want the advice? I did not know it was edited after more than one person tagged. :joy:

It was, the leaders reached out several times saying to stop tagging, and I edited the post because people still were.

Yeah, they legit said that so many times already.:sob:
