So recently I’ve been making hacky sacks and to keep the bean or sand filling inside I used tights. However these are pretty expensive to the point where I probably wouldn’t be able to sell them for a profit or make a good amount of them.
If anyone knew better stores to buy tights or alternative methods, I would love to hear them!
maybe you could use those free thin brown sock things that they have at some shoe stores for people to try on shoes? i don’t know if they would work right tho
maybe buying them for really cheap off of amazon? or sewing your own little small squares (sew two squares together, leave one side open, fill with beads!)
Go to thrift stores and they have them pretty cheap especially baby or toddler socks or leggings you can sometimes buy an entire bag of certain items for 25cents.
Nylons are also a good alternative. Cutting clean double the thickness and sew one side and fill sew the other side and put inside the hackysack. (I accidentally bought the wrong color tights for my dancers and I couldn’t return them so I had to get use out of them somehow and found this to be perfect).
Fabric from the end of bolts or fat quarters works great for that. I fixed a friend’s hackysack with a fat quarter.
