My first knit project was the viral knit frog by Claire Garland (she has so many amazing patterns and several free ones over on raverly). But I’m the type of person that would rather find a project I really want to make and give it a go rather than find a “skill appropriate” pattern

But if you want a stuffed animal, the easiest one I know of is the square bunny pattern (basically knit a square and you seam and shape it to make a bunny). Their are a million of free patterns for this on raverly and youtube!

This is a pattern that I found on ribblr:

Here’s a video I like that shows you how to seam and shape the bunny:

I started with scarves when I first started knitting years ago. I have done socks and a couple sweaters. Right now I’m knitting double stranded potholders

Thats how i am with my crochet but I’ve been crocheting since 2017 that i don’t really have to worry about skill lol. That bunny is so cute! I’ll definitely have to try that one

Scrunchies are a perfect first thing to knit, but washcloths and any other square thing would work great.

i started with scarves! they’re super easy since you can choose the stitches and length you want. i’ve also made blankets, but that’s it so far. i started with knitting years ago and eventually moved onto crochet. i’ve really been wanting to get back into knitting but i just broke my wrist :sob: if you find any cool patterns, you should definitely post them here!
