Hi guys! So im starting a crochet class at my local library tomorrow and i really need some beginner friendly patterns that you think they will like.
Just some easy plushies or quick stuff like fingerless gloves or coasters!
There are a few beginner patterns in my shop! Here’s a link to two you may like! (Although the first one does have bobble sts and I know some people don’t consider those beginner and others do!)
When I started I loved using symbol diagram patterns. Especially when they had side by side written pattern with them. I loved Claudia Giardinas “The book of crochet flowers” for flower patterns.
I understand this may not be the way most people learn. But it worked for me.
First think should be teaching them the basics like ch, SC DC HDC etc maybe even making a square first so they get used to the crochet hook (getting used to a crochet hook is like getting used to a pencil when you are learning how to write and it does take time to as y’all probably know!!!) that how I described it to the people I have taught and they usually find it helpful and it encouraged then to keep crocheting!!!
