I just found my knitting needles. Closer to trying to knit a dishcloth. I need an easy pattern or tutorial. Multiple stitch patterns could be good. Something that will help me do another pattern here on Ribblr. What do you recommend?

That is what finally made me turn to knitting. The knitting patterns I was seeing looked far more appealing to me and I wanted to be able to make them

I’m still a novice knitter imo, so I practice making samplers by doing 3-5 rows of one stitch, then change it to something else.
I also like to practice my increases and decreases by starting with one stitch and increasing on each side, making a triangle, then decreasing on each side to make a square (or rectangle by only decreasing one side).
I make garter stitches, stockinette, moss, etc. and I practice changing colors too.
I make washcloths and blankets this way using cotton yarn it really helps me get my confidence up!!
