Beginning knitting pattern ideas

I just found my knitting needles. Closer to trying to knit a dishcloth. I need an easy pattern or tutorial. Multiple stitch patterns could be good. Something that will help me do another pattern here on Ribblr. What do you recommend? :yarn:

Yes, I was gifted knitting patterns on the ribbot wheel spin. Excited to try them.

That is what finally made me turn to knitting. The knitting patterns I was seeing looked far more appealing to me and I wanted to be able to make them

I’m still a novice knitter imo, so I practice making samplers by doing 3-5 rows of one stitch, then change it to something else.

I also like to practice my increases and decreases by starting with one stitch and increasing on each side, making a triangle, then decreasing on each side to make a square (or rectangle by only decreasing one side).
I make garter stitches, stockinette, moss, etc. and I practice changing colors too.

I make washcloths and blankets this way using cotton yarn :yarn: it really helps me get my confidence up!!
