I actually just responded to a similar topic last week, amd found lots of beginner friendly washcloths to share, as that is how I learnd how to knit! Here are the ones I shared there:

No problem!! These are worked horizontally instead of diagonally, so they may be a little easier. The one I used was horizontal, which is why I liked it so much
