Bernat Blanket Mist-ical for Baby blanket??

Hello y’all,

I’ve recently endeavored to make a baby blanket for a friend of mine who is due on about a month and a half. I ordered Bernat Blanket “mist-ical” yarn, but after looking it up, is it going to be alright for a baby? It’s Oeko Tex certified, however I’ve seen different people say it’s bad to use. Is it ok to use this yarn? Would it be better once the baby is a little bit older? Any advice would help as I don’t have kids of my own, and have never made a baby blanket before!

I think it should be fine!

i believe that you should see how badly the yarn sheds. if it sheds quite a bit, like premier parfait chunky, then i would not recommend it for a baby. however, if it does not shed much if at all, the you should be fine to use it
