Best yarns to use as a base for mohair yarn

hi friends!! i want to make a cardigan with mohair yarn, and i have seen some people work with two strands of yarn, one of the mohair and then another yarn to help bulk it up. what would be the best yarns for that :o any recommendations would be helpful!! <3

I love to use fine or DK merino yarn to pair with my mohair, it makes it extra soft!! :heart:

I usually use acrylic or cotton! For my amigurumi that wouldn’t pair well for mohair though
