I tried searching for any bases for a crochet body for like a little doll ( I wanted to make the captain from bbc ghosts ) but couldn’t really find much with the results and wondered if anyone had any recommendations?

I think if you just search body base on the Ribblr pattern shop you’ll find a few, here’s one that I own that’s moveable as well!

i couldn’t link it, but check out Falbala the Fairy by Stella’s Yarn Universe on here, i use a slightly modified version for my bases and i think i made something nice :))
