I was wondering if somebody could help me to see if I can make any improvements on this design?
I think the idea is still cute but overall I think there is something missing 
I made a tester call on IG but it did not have that expected success, not gonna lie.

You could always experiment with different colours, for example, a green turtle with a pink bunny!
What if the turtle had bunny ears? I think this design is so cute overall and perfect the way it is! I don’t have instagram or else I would test, sorry! Good luck though! <3

To me there are a couple things going on here that make this a less than ideal design, despite the excellent construction and overall cuteness of the different elements.
Now, that can appeal to some people, but if you’re going for something morbid I would suggest leaning into the gruesomeness. E.g. blood, Xs for eyes, make the turtle face fierce, etc.
If you’re not going for something morbid, I would reconsider this mashup.
To make it a cute mashup that doesn’t have this somewhat disturbing under current, how about a bunny riding on a turtle? You could show the edge of the regular Green turtle shell, then have an adorable bun perched on top.
This is just my personal opinion. I hope you get to a place that works for your design and market. The design as is could also be tweaked to make a turtle/bao dumpling mashup that would be adorable!
Again, excellent design elements overall, hope you get where you want to be.

The first take could be more of a pattern suited for the spooky season maybe.
It was primarily intended for Easter to be honest 
I don’t see this as a failure but as a way to redirect this to another path.

I made a blue bunny with a little lighter shade of blue 
Putting our work out there as designers is so hard! We never know what kind of reception our little yarn babies are going to get in the world, and sometimes it’s not what we expect. I’ll keep an eye out around spooky season because I know someone who would love a macabre turtle bunny mashup. But glad it is finding some love here on Ribblr. This is the BEST craft community!

may i ask what yarn you use?
i think the underside of the turtle should be white! the underside being darker than the “skin tone” of the turtle makes it seem like the turtle is upside-down. Also, I think it would help if you moved the front fins closer to the head by a stitch or two, and move all four fins down a row. Just suggestions!! <3

I used for this project velvet yarn from a spanish brand called Isabella Yarns, but I think that in Aliexpress you can find it very very similar!
I don’t know how much costs there, but a few days back I did some research and the skein of 75gr was about 2’65€ more or less
I won’t be doing a tester call yet, I think I will improve the design and let this to October! but can I count with you once I launch the next tester call for the new design if that’s okay with you!
