I like the hobbit and lord of the rings books. I started with The Silmarillion, because that actually has some good background information on the history before the hobbit and the lord of the rings.
Edit: I should add its not the Boring type of history. There are stories of hate, love, sacrifice, and wars. About gods and magical beings, how they made their own place, and how some people were destroyed.
The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman
Odd Thomas books by Dean
Koontz
THANK YOU FOR LABELLING THEM!! i’ve been too afraid to go into a bookstore or library and just pick up something that looks interesting because the last time i did that i was jumpscared by smut. this means so much to me thank you

My 17 year old daughter is book obsessed. If she doesn’t have a book in her hand there must be something wrong! Anyway, I asked and she gave me this list for you:

“Ready Player 1” was really good, it even has chapters where it reads like messages in a chat. I also love “Six of Crows”
Cool!
Omggg i love when books have messages like that! And yes 6 of Crows was amazing, I however wish there was more romance between Inej and Kaz lol
I agree, but I think that the way the it built up was also really sweet, probably one of my favorites in fiction ngl
i love all of these exept for the red queen, i never herd of it
