I really loved all the bright places, though it does have some cussing… it was such a good book. Also the cruel prince is awesome. Caraval is awesome as well as the wheel of time series, it starts out a little slow for the first half of the first book, but it is just about the best series I have ever read. Haha I am actually currently listening to one of the final books in the series, there is no cursing, explicit scenes, or really anything bad besides some war. It is so amazing though can’t recommend it enough, message me if you start reading it

I thought the Six of Crows books by Leigh Bardugo were a lot of fun (also enjoyed their other ya books, the Shadow & Bone trilogy & King of Scars)!

Not sure if Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson is considered YA, but the magic system is super interesting (to me anyway) in that one!

Mistborn is by Brandon Sanderson, sorry should have mentioned at the start. I haven’t finished the series, but I’m eager to get back into it!

I know I’m forgetting some awesome YA, though - will try to update when my brain works again

Ok, wings of fire is soo good, though its pretty violent. The griffin chronicles is a bit chuldish in the first book, but escalates… Quickly lol

Uglies is a quick ya dystopian series.

Boneshaker.

Hard agree to wheel of time but it’s DENSE.

I enjoy Kim Harrison and Michelle Sagara/Michelle West. Michelle’s book plots can be a bit complex depending on the series that you are reading. Kim Harrison’s books are just pure escape. Both are fantasy/sci fi writers.

Howl’s Moving Castle is a really good book if you haven’t read it before. The original book is also quite different from the studio Ghibli film.

The hunger games is amazing if you haven’t already read it! One of my favorite books is called Obsessed, which is a little more realistic, but it’s awesome and very exciting throughout the whole book. It talks about mental health and stuff and it actually helped me with mine! definitely good for YA, the reading level is slightly advanced but i’d read the summary for it!

Haha sorry I knew that my punctuation was bad so it made it sound like I thought Leigh bardugo wrote mistborn…. Also just thought of this but another amazing series is legends of the first empire by Michael J Sullivan (first book is age of myth). This is such an amazing series as well love it so much

I LOVE the Shadowhunters series by Cassandra Clare. She’s got a lot of books written in that world. The original series begins with City of Bones, and there’s a fantastic prequel series as well that begins with Clockwork Angel. That series will also tickle your steampunk, historical fantasy bone. Love, love, love
