callus keeps splitting - help

I have the problem that I get burns on the fingers I have the yarn on and I used bandages but now I use the thing that you use if you injure your ankle (don’t know the word in English) it took some time to get used to

I use a mix of Okeefe’s working hands to lock in moisture when I’m not crocheting, and then a little strip of KT tape around my fingers where the yrn and hook sits. I can’t use bandaids or tape either. It is a little pricey, but a roll will last forever and you can also use it for carpal tunnel/ wrist pain as well.

Oh! This can happen after crocheting?! My finger also hurts, but luckily, I didn’t get to this stage, hope you’ll get well soon!

I have found that using a bit of lavender and a plaster overnight. That will seal it up quickly. Also, I use a balm called snowfire, it’s traditionally used for frostbite but it can knit a wound incredibly fast, is antibacterial and creates a layer of protection. You can purchase it on amazon. Hope this helps

Yeah, you should probably use that

I would put a bandaid on it then after it heals either use a cloth finger condom or a rubber one for glue guns, or keep using a bandaid.

Make a leather finger sheath or finger cot.

Sorry to hear that, may I know why your hook hits your finger when you crochet? Is it a specific technique?

it’s because of the way i hold my projects. i hold them with my thumb and middle finger, so whenni insert my hook, it hits my middle finger
