Hi! I’m very new, I understand basics but I overthink and get confused a lot still lol. My question is the very first instruction in the pattern I’m doing is:
To Begin:
Chain 12, slip stitch to make a ring/loop
So do I automatically do a slip knot? Do I just chain with no loop or slip knot? And if so how?sorry if this is a dumb question

Usually this means to slip stitch into the first chain you made in order to create a ring from your chains.
What is the next round/row of the pattern? This will help me figure out if that’s what it means!

Anytime a pattern tells you to chain _ at the beginning of a pattern, you will make a slip knot

I know the slip stitch for it I’m just not sure what I do before I start my first chain. I’m very exact directions type of learner lol
