Hi, I’ve recently downloaded this pattern and im having trouble understanding it. It isnt in words and in symbols. Does anyone know how to read this?
This is a crochet diagram, at least I think that’s one way it’s called, here’s a video and photo that may help you understand it better, from what I see and guess, you must have started with a certain amount of chains the one that look like a 0 are turning chains, then you chain one (the horizontal space of the 0 rotated) , single crochet (the +), etc I used US terms for this
Let me know if you need more help! If the photos you have on here are directly from the pattern it might be best to remove them if I answered your question
i believe it is called the moss stitch.
Moss or seed stitch. Can be called rice stitch too.
1 Single crochet, 1 chain repeats across
Next row, or round, 1 single crochet in each chain below, and 1 chain across each single crochet below
Same applies to knitting, you knit 1, purl one, then next row you purl into your knit stitches, and knit into your purl stitches
I learned to knit that stitch back when I still knitted
This is great info I always love patterns that include charts cause they’re much easier for me to keep track of then written instructions
I’m still learning how to use charts. Need more clarity on which direction to read each row in.
I take my hat off to each of you that can read that pattern.
I wish I understood it
