So Iâm going on a trip and I know ribblr doesnât work on planes. I was thinking I could screenshot the pattern but when I looked it up it says u cant screen shot on ribblr. Is that true? If so can u guys tell me ways to use ribblr offline?

just moved this to support itâs kinda yes and no well you canât take scrreenshots meaning youâre not really allowed to but ribblr doesnât band screenshots so if youâre on a plane you could message the designer and ask them for a PDF that way you could print it out
you might be wondering why this is a rule on ribblr well itâs just so people donât steal patterns which isnât good
other ways to use ribblr online doesnât really sound easy to me since youâre going on a trip you get to enjoy nature along the way! but to answer that question i donât think so
So for me, I leave the app open with the pattern pulled up, like this
(Donât worry it my own pattern yâall!)
But it has to stay open, like unlock your device and thatâs the first thing to pop up, then u can usually get away with it!
Sometimes it doesnt work but this has been in suggestions forrever, just have a downloadable option so that us without WiFi can still use it, thereâs been no update yet tho.
Some designers include a pdf version of the pattern, or sell one on another platform. If they donât give you that option, you should message them before screenshotting it. Personally, I donât include a pdf with my patterns, but if someone contacts me, I am happy to generate a pdf for them or let them screeenshot it.
NO, you are not permitted to screenshot patterns. Itâs a breach of Ribblrâs policy.
Ribblr intended for patterns to be available in e-pattern format (predominantly), in an effort to stop pattern theft and plagiarism, which is flooding the crochet community. Each designer can choose to provide a pdf version of their pattern along with the e-pattern if they want to. However this is entirely the designerâs choice.
In order to avoid breaching Ribblrâs Terms and Conditions, Guidelines etc, you can reach out to the designer of the pattern and ask them if theyâd mind providing you with a pdf version for your own personal use only, whilst traveling. Many designers are happy to accommodate this request.
Additionally, @Tatertotscrochet also pointed out their clever way of using a Ribblr pattern whilst traveling. Youâre most welcome to use this method also. Give it a try and see if itâs something that you can work with.
