Chart Creation in Ribbuild for Overlay Mosaic Crochet

Hi @Ribblr and Ribblrians,

I’ve been having a play with the chart builder in Ribbuild as I’m writing a small overlay mosaic crochet pattern and wanted to explore this feature in Ribblr. I’m pleased to say most of the things I need to do (to create a chart for overlay mosaic crochet) are possible in the chart builder.

There’s just one thing that’s missing at present (specific to mosaic crochet) and that is to be able to place a letter ‘A’ and ‘B’ in the first and last columns which denotes the colour of yarn used in a given row.

I realize I can make notes in the ‘Add important information’ box on the left and have done this as an alternative. However, once I click on the ‘Add to pattern’ button the information in this ‘box’ disappears. I have exited the pattern and come back to the chart, however, the information is still missing.

Can anyone help me out with this?

Thank you.

If you add your colors to the material list in the pattern itself in Ribbuild, you can then select your colors for each row in the chart.

Thank you! I didn’t know that.

I did have a little ‘play’ with this, however, it doesn’t give me the desired outcome. Although it is another alternative I didn’t know about. So I’ve definitely learned something new. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Ideally I would like to be able to add the letters ‘A’ and ‘B’ to any square, regardless of colour, much like you do with adding the stitch symbols. It’s not so much the colour but the letters.
