Christmas Gifts 2025

Thought it would be cool to share some of my makes I gifted family and friends this year! Most were sewn patterns. Some freehanded.

Phone stand for my dad.

Ttie for my husband

Coasters for my mom

Eemoji tapestry and bag (not pictured) for my MIL.

Pproject bag for my SIL

Stocking and Purse for my sister.

Dino for my daughter and her friend

There were others like 2 more ties, a reusable shoulder heating pad, an apron, a dog bandana, and another purse. But silly me forgot to take photos

Feel free to share your Christmas gift makes so we can get ideas for next year! I need to start in January and not wait until October!

 yeah. I think I made around 15 items or so. But my plan for next year is to make quilted jackets for family. So, I need to start looking for quilts and make at least one practice one before I start on the gifts. So, I may need to start early this year. I am also having a baby in April. which means I’ll be juggling 2 under 2.

Would you care to share where you bought the peacock fabric from?

By the way, everything looks fab, the peacock bag is stunning! The tie is perfect. The seams on the dinosaur is top notch!

That’s a pretty big goal knowing you’ll have 2 under 2!!

Just don’t break yourself.

Thank you!

the peacock fabric was from the precut fabric at Walmart. I think I bought it last year sometime on sale and never used it. Then made my sister a bunch of things for Christmas this year. lol.

lol yeah… exactly. So, I’m thinking if I can get 2 made, one for my mom and one for my MIL, then I’ll be doing pretty good. But the ultimate goal is 10?

10???

I think your brain will break from lack of sleep. I don’t like it but I have to have at least 12 hours of sleep or I cannot even function!

lol. Yeah. I wish I could sleep that long but with a 1 year old and having to wake up every 2-3 hours to go to the bathroom because I’m 6 months pregnant, I may be able to get about 6 hours of sleep but with several interruptions between.

But yeah, 10 for family. 1 for myself and the other 9 for family meme era. I’m thinking that once I get the pattern figured out, they will whip up pretty quickly. But we will see.

My daughter is obsessed with peacocks too!

I tried to find the pattern she sent me that I said nope! Scrolled through 7 years of messages, I dunno.

But the peacock would have taken me over a year!

Oh man! That’s a lot! I love crocheting. But I have found a new love for sewing recently, mostly because it can be much faster!
