never forget to either leave out or give the wrong amount of an important ingredient when people harass you for your secret prize winning recipe. The feeling you get every time you hear that theirs is just not as good as yours is priceless.

The only time it’s a pain is when I started a blanket months in advance only to not have it ready to use. Other then that I’m good to go. It’s only bothers me when I’ve procrastinated haha….

My son decided that hand made Christmas gifts this year would be a great idea, with only 4 weeks to make them. 
, i bought a skein of his alpaca yarn and have just finished a cabled hat for our Sunday Christmas gathering, whew. It’s very soft. I’m going to ask him if it goes well this year, if he could tell us now that we will be doing this next year so I can get an early start on it lol cos you never know what might happen, one year I broke my hand and there was no knitting or spinning for 3 months. And oh yeah, it was a dark yarn, killed my eyes lol, i need more light in my work area :p.

What an accomplishment! I bought a couple of these lamps and they help tremendously.
They have three settings, bright daylight, daylight, and what seems like incandescent lighting.
Swivel arm. I just wish the arm reach was a little bit longer.

I’m kinda the opposite. I love making things for people but it gets to christmas and I’m like “who do I put the effort into making something for that won’t be ungrateful”

i forgot i had to crochet for xmas so i ended up only having 37 DAYS for 18 presents, it’s do-able but i unfortunately cut my hand and can’t crochet rn, and i still have two projects to finish before tmr (which i won’t be)

I wasn’t able to make gifts this year because I just got my yarn like 3 days ago, but I have a plan for next year. I think I’m going to try to get around 15-20 gifts done for various holidays during January so I don’t do everything last minute. I’m not sure how long I’ll be able to do that for, but it’s something I want to try.

My brother is still waiting for me to sew on the stars to his flag afghan after 8 or more years 
… His wife occasionally mentions to pick on me, but I also bring up the C.O.F.F.E.E sign she promised me haha
