(CLOSED) Blocking clothes

Hi. I made a crochet sweater but it’s a bit stiff. I’ve seen some videos on Instagram of before and after blocking sweaters. Any tips on getting started? Is it necessary to do this with all the clothes?

I’ve seen some foam blocks for this on AliExpress. I’ve also seen a pin kit, but that seems more expensive. Is it ok if I use any pin?

blocking makes the crocheted pieces floppier? (i think the word im looking for is flowier) but no, you can use whatever pins you have to block. i have a blocking board that i use, but i have also used toothpicks in styrofoam and playmats to block things

Thank you.
I saw the typical children foam puzzle that you put in the floor. But I think It woukd be better to spend a little more and buy some foam that have the square marks are used as a guide and make it look better.
I have also seen someone who has stuck them in their bed but I don’t think wet clothes and bed are a good combination.

i agree that putting them in the bed seems impractical, like what if your project isn’t finished drying by the time you need to go to bed?

You can just leave it since no one has posted for two months, but also I would tag the leaders instead, i’ve never even heard of moderators.
