Meet the Hamburtle: your fully loaded BBQ bestie! This chunky burger-turtle mashup is ready for summer, sunshine, and backyard cookout vibes.
Skill Level: Intermediate
Approximate Size: 10in
Test Period: May 30th
Yarn Used: Super Bulky Weight 6 + Worsted Weight yarn
Hook Sizes Used: 6.5mm and 5mm
You are absolutely welcome to use different yarn weights and hook sizes if you’d like! These are simply what the pattern was designed around.

i would love to test with weight 6 yarn for the body and weight 4-5 (I think amazon was wrong and its closer to five but its labeled a 4) weight for the accesories and other colors. (size 4 and 3.5 hook). i might not be able to finish in time because i am very busy and have signed up for other commisions and may or may not get picked. ive made some other turtles if you want to look:

Acrylic yarn and a 4 mm hook! I dont have any blanket yarn in brown, so I may double up my acrylic brown just to make it thicker.

I love this!! I would happily use a size 8 bulky yarn (7.5mm hook), I also typically use a size 6 chenille too (5.5mm hook) and I’m happy to Share any pictures/ modifications.
I would love to do this either in the same colours or in different colours. I was also thinking of adding some seeds on the bun.
