Heyy guys!! I wanna know if u would be interested in joining this competition i made! I will be accepting only 20 or 15 ppl and this will be open for 3 days.
How it’ll work:
Every week I will choose an animal or creature, (ex: dog, cat, gnome, fairy) then I’ll search up it in Ribblr and the first free pattern i see, will be the pattern we will use for the comp.
After everyone is finished making the chosen pattern i will make a poll for ppl to vote on which is the best make.
Rules:
Stay active in the gc. No ghosting or leaving the chat without an explanation
If u need to leave the competition pls explain and nominate someone else who might be interested in joining to take ur place
How to join:
Just comment that u wanna join
Tag 3 or more ppl
Anyone can join regardless of age, skill, etc

This sounds fun, but what if the pattern is a paid pattern?

So everyone will make the same thing?
Will it have to be as is? Or can ppl add onto it so that it’s not 20 of the same pattern

Everyone will have to make the same thing, then I will post a poll so ppl can choose who’s make they like the best! Each week will have a different pattern.

You should seriously ask the pattern designer (message them) if they’re ok with you using their pattern for your competition.

Asking for permission to use their pattern and crediting them aren’t the same. I implore you actually reach out them and ask them first and if they say yes, link their pattern and the shop when it comes time for voting.
Most people would rather their patterns not be used for comercial purposes— which includes mass production and competitions.
