I am looking for testers for my Amethyst the baby dragon!
Hello everyone! I’m looking for 6-10 testers for my Amethyst the baby dragon pattern, I will pick testers on (probably) April 2, 2026 (European time)
Due date: April 30, 2026 (European time)
For everyone:
- This will be a free pattern
- English is not my first language, so sorry if I made really dumb mistakes…
- If you want me to tag you in the release, feel free to ask me! I will try my best not to forget anyone

For the people who were considering to apply:
Requirements:
- Share you thoughts and feedback in the group chat (not in the journal) on:
- Mistakes in the pattern itself
- Grammar/spelling/etc; English is not my first language so I am sure there are a lot of these mistakes :’)
- Unclear instructions
- Whatever else a human can do wrong…:)
- Share at least one good picture (natural lighting is appreciated) in the group chat for the tester appreciaton
- Post a journal with a good picture
- Be active in the group chat and respond to messages somewhat quick (I’ll do the same thing)
- Respond to the welcome message within a few days, if you don’t do this I assume your life just got busy and you leave your spot open for somebody else
- PLS NO GHOSTING!
Pattern information:
- This is a confident intermediate/advanced pattern
- This pattern requires you to use wire in the wings and body
- The biggest stitch count in the body is 16, in the wings it is a little bigger, (about) 26
- There is a lot of sewing, so you need to think twice about using chenille yarn, but if you are ready to take on the challenge: I’m here for it!
- This pattern is not as big of a project as Nyx the dragon, but still more work than you might think, so keep that in mind
The materials I used:
- Medium/worsted weight yarn (to be honest I don’t know exacly)
- I used about 25g of a skein that was 100g/240m of the primary color
- 3.5 mm hook
- Safety eyes
- Stuffing
- Wire
- Tape
- Basic crochet tools
- Sewing pins
- Wire cutter
Additional notes:
- If halfway trough the testing process life got busy and you realise you won’t be able to hit the deadline, don’t worry and just let me know. (you can do this via a private message if you want) I would much rather push the release date than have you stress out <3
- No yarn, hook or color requirements, but I do recommend to use a hook that is not on the big side for your yarn
- You are welcome to sell items you made with this pattern, please just credit me as the designer!
